Our little boy is growing up, Zach turned 2 today! We had a very fun day eating birthday cake, opening presents and playing with friends.Zach even had fun helping me clean up all the streamers the next day. I think we may have traumatized him a little with firecrackers a few days before because he didn't think it was too funny when we lit the candle on his cake. Opps! Oh well maybe next year.
We are so excited that we finally were able to spend the fourth of July together as a family! We had so much fun we went to the parade in Coronado in the morning, Zach loved all the horses and of course the fire trucks. We then came home and took naps and barbecued and then headed down to the beach to watch the fireworks. It was really neat we were able to set up our chairs and a blanket right on the beach and let Zach play until dark, then they shot the fireworks right off the pier. Dylan and I loved them, Zach however was terrified and wouldn't even look at them. Poor guy just snuggled in the safety of dads arms until we started to walk back to our car. You may have noticed in the last few posts that Zach has decided he doesn't want to have his picture taken anymore, so we have been having to get very creative when it comes to getting him to look at us which we succeed at occasionally but, it doesn't always guarantee a smile. We will do our best but, there may be a few interesting photos in the posts to come, we will just call these real life photos ha ha.
